About~
I used to dream about this place a lot, following a couple different storylines even. I went a very long time without dreaming at all and this is one of the places I miss the most. It’s a world cloistered between our own and the deep, packed earth; a world in miniature. This place inspires me to learn how to paint more like Stephanie Pui Mun Law or Yoshitaka Amano, whos styles would lend well to the way this place feels.
Underworld was my first full-page watercolor, and Underworld II followed much later (after years of neglecting my skills). So in their own ways, each one feels like the tentative first steps into a new world. There’s a certain musical piece that I hear when I try to bring Underworld II to life in my mind called “City of the Ancients“. I’m dropping so many names in this entry because, well, I don’t really have a great vocabulary to describe it otherwise.
One day very soon, you’ll see Underworld for sale here in the shop– I’m quite committed to making sure that each piece I offer prints up as true to itself as it can be, and do not offer a piece that doesn’t come out as it should. And uh, Underworld needs more help than this guy lol. In the meantime, it’s available for viewing in my gallery .
A note on shipping
