Photography

Hooray, an entire new section! I’m so happy to share another of my loves with all of you. My interest in photography is very niche, probably: stark or vivid colors about the natural world on a macro scale. Maybe it sounds too “stereotypical artiste” to say but it really is a representation of how I see things.

Please look forward to more of my drawings, paintings and (possibly) modeling work as the next additions

Shroomies

Wild mushrooms found in a local park, photographed with a film camera. Part of the Vegetable Voyage set.

The Glass

Is the Glass half full, or half empty? In this isolated house by the sea, it’s far too easy to become surrounded by your own thoughts.

White Noise

“… But I can’t see you through the snowblind… I wasn’t there for goodbye; Well, I know time reveals in hindsight” – System of a Down || The white noise that surrounds all my memories of you, all the beauty that the world has lost, the life you deserved and never got to have. Taken with a film camera.

Shoreside Ivy

A surreal photo of ivy growing from a wooden post on the shores of the Pacific. The palette is in sunset colors both to reflect the feelings of that evening… hope for a planet that is tenacious and unspeakably beautiful.

The Gateway

A gateway without name or context leaves you to follow your gut when deciding whether or not to step through. Would you take a leap based on your feelings? Taken a long way from home.

Grass

This is actually part one of three pieces, all taken of the same place but in different focuses. The rest are to come after some light formatting. Taken with a film camera.

Cathedral

Cathedrals– monuments to some of man’s greatest aspirations and follies. Faith, beauty… and power.

Still Midnight

The silence of a snowy midnight is stiller and brighter than any I’ve known in the natural world. There’s something there that feels like Waiting, like magic and like a different world from our own.

Countryside

A photograph from somewhere in the French countryside that looks like a moment from a nearly-forgotten past, or perhaps only a dream.
